Alicia Framis (b. 1967, Barcelona / Spain) lives in Amsterdam. Her installations, objects and performances draw attention to social, cultural or political problems, but also offer alternative ways of thinking and action. She studied at Barcelona University; Ecole de Beaux Arts, Paris; Institut d'Hautes Etudes, Paris; and at Rijksakademie Van Beelde Kunstende, Amsterdam. In 2003 she presented her project 'Anti_Dog' in the Dutch pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
