Zaha Hadid (born 1950 in Bagdad/ Iraq, died 2016 in Miami, lived in London) was an architect, artist and designer. She studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut and architecture at the Architectural Association (AA) School in London. Hadid founded Zaha Hadid Architects in 1979 and was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004.
