Azari has collaborated in a number of films with the renowned Iranian-born artist/filmakes Shirin Neshat, together they have created several projects, including Turbulent, which won the Golden Lion Prize at the Venice Biennale of Art in 1998, a 18 minutes short film was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2003.

Recently he has been shown the experimental film “María de los Angeles” en el Kervonian Center (New York University) and he just finished his new project “Windows” a film composed by 9 different scenes who will be shown complete in Salamanca.

Windows is made up of 9 loaded histories of simple histories that are growing complexity by their great formal load portraying the time and the space, the fiction and the reality, fantastic and the horrible thing, entering to us in our relation with the protagonists, offer different aspects to us from the North American cultural behavior, a resistance between the greatness, the alienated reality. His series Windows, is a significant example of its preoccupation with the options and formal preferences with questions related to presentation and representation and particularly to the problematic one of the "border" like formal structure and thematic of work.

The Museum is going to publish a Spanish/English catalogue about his Windows series including text of Javier Panera, Agustín Pérez Rubio and an interview with Octavio Zaya.
