Between earth and sky

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts presents the exhibition "Between Earth and Sky", featuring works from its collection and the collection of Galina Manevich. The Gallery of European and American Art of the XIX-XX centuries will present the etchings by Rembrandt Harmens van Rijn and Francisco Goya, works by Vasily Chekrygin and Eduard Steinberg. The exhibition consists of four sections, united by the theme of man's reflection on the eternal contradictions of our world. At different times the artists have considered the problem of finitude of existence and aspiration to find eternity, they have embodied in their art the themes of fall and redemption, despair and hope. The project commemorates the 85th anniversary of Eduard Steinberg's birth.
