In an exhibition occupying seven galleries, the Lebanese - American artist Walid Raad (1967) presents his philosophical, politically charged, and often witty vision of the complexities of the Lebanese Civil War (1975 -1991) and developments in contemporary art in the Middle East.

Raad uses video, photography, multimedia installations, performances and essays. The show features new work in conjunction with extraordinary combinations that draw upon the three major projects Raad has been working on since the late 1980s: The Atlas Group (1989 - 2004), Sweet talk commissions Beirut (since 1987) and Scratching on things I could disavow (from 2007). The artist will perform his recent walkthrough Les Louvres and/or Kicking the Dead at various moments.
