"A visually delicious new recipe for abstract art, which is all about surprise" Evening Standard.

Thomas Scheibitz creates a futuristic vision of a fast-paced consumer society, where nature and technology merge, and realism is replaced by pop design. His painted abstract sculptures also draw inspiration from everyday graphic design and popular culture.

This German artist shows new paintings, sculptures and works on paper. The paintings are filled with geometric shapes and organic masses, the flat colourful components making distorted spatial illusions.

Using images collected both from personal memory and the media: illustrations, architecture, movies, television, magazines and comics, he breaks them down until colour and abstraction take over from representation.

Scheibitz has selected works specifically for the Camden Arts Centre space. The exhibition and publication have been organised in collaboration with IMMA, Dublin.

An exhibition catalogue has been specially produced by Thomas Scheibitz and an edition by the artist will be exclusively on sale in Camden Arts Centre's Bookshop.
