TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes opens on Thursday, January 31, at 8:00 pm, Hate on canvas, an exhibition by the Santiago artist from Santiago Palenzuela. The exhibition, curated by Carlos Díaz-Bertrana, can be visited at this contemporary art center until May 5, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Born in Tenerife in 1967, Santiago Palenzuela is a virtuoso, revolutionary and classic painter. Amazing is her fertile manipulation of matter, innovative and creative. His themes are traditional, those of genre painting, portraits, interiors. The friends, the houses where he lives and, in recent years, the animals that put irrational and instinctive in his poetics; and fire, an element of destruction and creation. Obviously, that it deals fundamentally with a few subjects is not accidental, but they play a minor role in his poetics. What gives him entity is his unique way of arranging matter and color, the formal solutions that reveal his obsessions and his identity. There is no story, it is the pure painting that means itself and the artist.
