Muntean / Rosenblum

On the 23rd of September, the MUSAC, Contemporary Art Museum of Castille and Leon, will inaugurate a retrospective show of the work by the artistic couple consisting of Markus Muntean (Graz, Austria, 1962) and Adi Rosenblum (Haifa, Israel, 1962), thus giving rise to what will be their first solo show in Spain. Together as an artistic tandem since 1992, their work has been exhibited on countless occasions in some of the world’s most prestigious venues (De Appel, in Amsterdam; Tate Britain, in London; Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, in Melbourne; MWMWM, in Brooklyn, New York), and their works form a part of some of the most important international art collections. Make death listen… is a turning point in their exhibition career, given the retrospective point of view that characterizes the show, which includes works from 1998 to the present day. Parallel to this exhibition, the Santa Monica Art Centre of Barcelona is organizing a show to open in the month of October that complements the MUSAC show, and which will be presenting the latest video piece by Muntean/Rosenblum.
