About the Marcel Duchamp Prize
Created by the ADIAF in 2000 to highlight the creative energy of the artists on the French artistic scene, every year the Marcel Duchamp Prize honours a winner from among four French artists or artists residing in France, working in the field of the plastic and visual arts. The ambition of this collector’s prize is to bring together the most innovative artists of their generation and help them develop their visibility in France and worldwide. Organized in partnership with the Centre Pompidou and endowed with the sum of 35,000 EUR for the winner, it is considered to be one of the most relevant vectors of information about contemporary art in France today and a top benchmark prize worldwide.
