press release

Provocative and intimate, Larry Clark’s photographic exploration of junkies, hustlers, and sexual experimentation began in Oklahoma in the mid-1960s and continues today with a focus on youth culture in films such as Kids (1995) and his upcoming film shot in Los Angeles entitled Bully (2001). Outtakes and Additions includes unpublished photographs that supplement the scenarios found in his groundbreaking book Tulsa (1971) and his autobiographical book Teenage Lust (1983). The exhibition will include all 50 images from Outtakes and Additions as well as a selection of works from Tulsa and Teenage Lust. Together these photographs will make for a complete telling of the stories that surround Clark's intriguing characters.
