The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate and the Sofia City Gallery (Sofia Art Gallery) organise presentations of four of the artists participating in the exhibition - Nedko Solakov, Luchezar Boyadjiev, Pravdoljub Ivanov and Boriana Dragoeva. They are some of the most well known Bulgarian artists abroad but their work remains unknown to Bulgarian audiences.

February 27, 2003, 4 p.m. Presentation by Nedko Solakov Sofia City Gallery, 1, Gurko St Since the beginning of the 90's, Nedko Solakov (born 1957, Tcherven Briag, Bulgaria, lives in Sofia) has exhibited extensively in Europe and America. His work was featured in Aperto '93, Venice Biennial; the 48th and 49th Venice Biennials; the 3rd and 4th Istanbul Biennials; Sa? Paulo '94; Manifesta 1, Rotterdam; 2nd and 4th Gwangju Biennales; ISEA '98, Liverpool; 5th Lyon Biennial; Sonsbeek 9 Arnhem. Recently he had solo shows at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Berlin; Museu do Chiado, Lisbon; Stichting De Appel, Amsterdam and CCA Kitakyushu, Japan. Among his forthcoming projects are solo exhibitions at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid; The Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Casino Luxembourg and RooseumCenter for Contemporary Art, Malmo.

Presentation by Luchezar Boyadjiev Luchezar Boyadjiev was born in 1957 in Sofia. He works in the field of very contemporary art. Among his most recent exhibitions are Manifesta 4 in Frankfurt, the Forth Cetinje Biennial in Montenegro, the Collective Unconsciousness in the Migro Museum in Zurich, all in 2002.
