Altman Siegel is proud to present an exhibition of new works by five exceptional young painters.

Jessica Dickinson lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1997 and her MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1999. She has presented solo exhibitions at James Fuentes LLC, New York, 2009, Brooklyn Fire Proof project space, 2007, Bas Fisher Invitational Miami, 2006 and has a forthcoming exhibition at Maisterra Valbuena Galería in Madrid in 2012. Dickinson has also recently participated in group exhibitions at Mihai Nicodim Gallery, Los Angeles, RISD Museum of Art, Providence, Sikkema Jenkins & Co and Lehman Maupin Gallery, New York.

Liam Everett currently lives and works in San Francisco after having spent the past 10 years in New York City. Recent projects include solo exhibitions at Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York and Romer Young Gallery, San Francisco during 2011, White Columns, New York, 2009, The Künstlerhaus Bremen, 2004, as well as group shows at the Wattis Institute of Contemporary Art, San Francisco, 303 Gallery and Canada Gallery, New York. He has exhibited internationally in Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Alex Olson lives and works in Los Angeles. She received her BA from Harvard University in 2001, and her MFA from CalArts in 2008. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. She has exhibited widely including solo shows at Lisa Cooley Gallery, New York and Shane Campbell Gallery, Chicago.

Josh Smith is from Knoxville, Tennessee and currently lives and works in New York. He has had numerous solo exhibitions in the United States and abroad, most notably Who Am I at De Hallen Haarlem in 2009 and Hidden Darts at Museum Moderner Kunst in Vienna in 2008. He has also participated in several important group exhibitions, including Uncertain States of America at the Serpentine Gallery in London and Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo, USA Today at Saatchi Gallery, the 2007 Lyon Biennial curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Book/Shelf at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and The Generational: Younger Than Jesus at the New Museum in New York.

Garth Weiser lives and works in New York. He received his BA from Cooper Union and his MFA from Columbia University. His recent exhibitions include a solo show at Casey Kaplan, New York, and Norma Mangione Gallery, Turin, 2011. He also participated in shows at White Flag Projects, St. Louis, 2009, the Hessel Museum of Art & CCS Galleries, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, 2009, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, 2008, The Athens Biennial, Greece, 2007, Greater New York, PS1 MoMA, New York, 2005 and Abstract America 2: New Painting from the US, at the Saatchi Gallery, London, England.
