Ben Nicholson. The Intimate Surface of Modernism

This exhibition will look at a series of works by Ben Nicholson, which present a different, more personal, aspect to his practice. Ben Nicholson is one of the major figures of British modernism and among the most important British artists of the twentieth century.

This exhibition shows a side to this well loved artist by showing personal works by Ben & Winifred Nicholson and Alfred Wallis currently on long term loan to mima. Included are postcards from family holidays and gifts to family and friends.
