press release

ART MIAMI WILL CELEBRATE IT'S 21st EDITION | DECEMBER 1 - 5 | 2010 Known as Miami’s premiere anchor fair, Art Miami kicks off the opening day of Art Week — the first week of December when thousands of collectors, dealers, curators, and artists descend upon Miami to experience the string of contemporary and high-energy fairs that the city is known for. Distinguished for its depth, diversity and quality, Art Miami showcases the best in modern and contemporary art from 100 international art galleries and prominent art institutions.

Art Miami maintains a preeminent position in America’s contemporary art fair market. With a rich history, it is the original and longest-running contemporary art fair in Miami and continues to receive praise for the variety of unparalleled art that it offers. As acclaim for Art Miami grows, the fair continues to attract the participation of affluent collectors and high-quality galleries from all over the world. It is the "can't miss" event for all serious art enthusiasts, curators and museum professionals, providing an intimate look at some of the most important work at the forefront of the international contemporary art movement.

The fair will commence on November 30, 2010 with Art Miami’s highly anticipated Opening Night Preview Party benefiting The Lotus House Women's Shelter, a quiet enclave in downtown Miami offering a sanctuary where the minds, bodies and spirits of homeless women and infants most in need are supported and nurtured. Last year, Art Miami attracted 6,500 collectors during its Opening Night and 36,000 attendees over a six-day period. As Art Miami continues to attract the participation of affluent collectors and high quality galleries we are expecting to exceed these numbers for 2010.

Art Miami will be held in a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot pavilion that will feature European style cafes serving delectable cuisine as well as an exclusive VIP lounge. There will be ample parking available through the use of a new four-story parking garage with 2,000 spots, located directly across the street from the Art Miami Pavilion. Convenient Valet parking is also available.

As the date for Art Miami nears we will regularly post new information on fair developments. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

We look forward to seeing you in December!
