Sebastiano del Piombo (Sebastiano Luciani, b. 1485, Venice; d. 1547 in Rome) was a painter of the High Renaissance. He was a pupil of Giovanni Bellini and a colleague of Giorgione. In Rome he met Michelangelo and they became friends. Both were rivals of Raphael.
