Ronald B. Kitaj (born 1932 in Chagrin Falls/OH, died 2007 in Los Angeles/CAL) was one of the representatives of the 'School of London' (Francis Bacon, Leon Kossoff, Frank Auerbach, Lucian Freud, a. o.). He studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Wien under Wotruba und Gütersloh; at Ruskin School, London; at Royal College of Art, London; and at Cooper Union, New York.
