Miguel Angel Ríos (b. 1943, Catamarca, Argentina) lives and works in CDMX, Mexico.
He was a Professor at National University, Tucumán and at School of Fine Arts, National University, Buenos Aires, and has received numerous awards including the John Guggenheim Fellowship (1998) for his work exploring the mediums of painting, drawing and collage. He had solo exhibitions at museums across the world, including ASU Art Museum, Temple (2015), Museum of Fine Arts Houston (2013), Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, Mexico City (2013), Museo Carrillo Gil, México DF (2011), Maison Européenne de la Photographie MEP, Paris (2011, 2009), and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington (2005).
Miguel Angel Ríos studied at Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires.
