Lydia Schouten (b. 1948, Leiden/Netherlands) is a pioneer in the fields of performance, video and installation art in connection with feminism. The themes of her work are mass media, identity, loneliness, violence and abuse.
Lydia Schouten studied at the Free Academy of Visual Arts, Den Haag; and at the Academy of Visual Arts, Rotterdam.
