Kathrin Rhomberg

Kathrin Rhomberg lives and works as an independent curator in Vienna, Austria. She is a co-curator of the ongoing project “Former West” and a corresponding member of Secession, Vienna. She was curator and director of the Secession exhibition center in Vienna from 1990 to 2001, and 2000 co-curator of Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana. She founded "Tranzit" together with Maria Hlavajova in 2002 to promote contemporary art projects in Central Europe and was director of the Cologne Kunstverein from 2002 to 2007. In 2010, she curated the 6th berlin biennial for contemporary art and in 2011 an exhibition on Christoph Schlingensief, Fear of the Core of Things, at the BAK, basis voor aktuele Kunst, Utrecht.
