Huang Yong Ping (b. 1954, Xiamen/China, d. 2019), was an artist, magician, alchemist, philosopher and writer. Since 1989 he lived and worked in Paris. He made large-scale, sculptural works, installations, and drawings and was one of the most provocative artists of the Chinese art scene in the 1980s. In 1986 he founded the avant-garde group 'Xiamen Dada' with Zha Lixiong, Liu Yiling, Lin Chun and Jiao Yaoming. 1999 he represented France at the Venice Biennale.Huang Yong Ping studied at Academy Zhejiang.
