Chiara Bertola

Chiara Bertola (b. 1961, Turin), based in Venice and Milan, is curator of Contemporary Art Program at the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice since 1999. She was artistic director at the Hangar Bicocca in Milan from 2009 to 2012 and curator of the Venice Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale, 2007. She has curated exhibitions in Italy and abroad, among other: Joseph Kosuth (2000), Ilya Kabakov (2003), Kiki Smith (2005), Georges Adeagbo (2008), Mona Hatoum (2009, 2014, 2015), Christian Boltanski (2010), Marisa Merz (2011), Surasi Kusolwong (2011), Carsten Nicolai (2012), Haris Epaminonda (2014), Jimmie Durham (2015), Giovanni Anselmo (2017), Roman Opalka (2019).
