short biography

The Bazooka collective was founded in 1974 in the graphic workshops of the Beaux-arts de Paris around Christian Chapiron (Kiki Picasso), Jean-Louis Dupré (Loulou Picasso), Olivia Tele Clavel (Electric Clito), Philippe Renault (Lulu Larsen), Bernard Vidal (Bananar), Jean Rouzaud and Philippe Bailly. The group's work consisted mainly of collages of images from news, archives, art, comics, reworked with drawing and painting. It published fanzines, bulletins, produced record covers, worked in advertising and cooperated for a time with Libération, which published its provocative graphics. In 2002, Loulou Picasso adapted the news blog Un Regard moderne for the internet, in which Chris Marker (under the pseudonym Guillaume in Egypt) contributed daily for a year.
