Mit performativen Aktionen und spezifischen Arbeitsmethoden greifen die Künstler zurück auf Themen des Lebens und im Speziellen auf Spiele, die unmittelbar auf existentiellen Motiven des Lebens aufbauen. Katja Loher (geb.1979) inszeniert ein menschliches Schachspiel mit lebenden Schachfiguren. Dabei zieht sie, wie bei Marionetten, die Fäden selbst und stellt die partizipative Rolle des Menschen in Frage. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Fehlern und Scheitern im künstlerischen Arbeitsprozess ist Teil in der Entwicklung von Sirous Namazis (geb. 1970) Arbeit. Sie läuft parallel zu seinem Interesse am Spannungs-Verhältnis von Chaos und Ordnung, welches diesem Prozess immanent ist. Die performativen Arbeiten des englischen Duos Harrison & Wood (geb.1969, bzw. 1966) reihen sich ein zwischen Tragik und menschlicher Komödie. Die minimalistischen, skulpturalen, installativen und performativen Inszenierungen oszillieren zwischen Scheitern, Kalkulation und Zufall.

With performative actions and specific work methods, the artists draw from topics of life and in particular from games that immediately build on the existential motives of life. Katja Loher ( 1979) puts on stage a human chess with living pawns. Just like with puppets, she pulls the strings herself and thereby questions the participating role of humans. The examination of mistakes and failure in the artistic work process is part of Sirous Namazis’ ( 1970) developing work. It runs parallel to his interest in the conflicting areas of chaos and order, which is immanent in this process. The performative works of the English duo Harrison & Wood (* 1969 and 1966) can be placed between tragedy and human comedy. The minimalist, sculptural, installational and performative stagings oscillate between failure, calculation and chance.
