press release

Featuring more than 25 color photographs, the exhibition reveals the architecture, landscape and hidden spaces of Governors Island. Although it is located just half a mile from the southern tip of Manhattan, this 172-acre island remains almost entirely undiscovered terrain for most New Yorkers. The exhibition will coincide with the launch of a series of public activities on the island as well as the beginning of the Governors Island public planning process.

This exhibit is organized by the Public Art Fund and Governors Island Preservation and Education Corporation, in collaboration with the Municipal Art Society, and presented by Target. Pressetext
