The Green Gallery presents Lonesome Cowgirls a collaborative installation by Emily Sundblad and Amy Granat. Lonesome Cowgirls is a multimedia project which includes film, music and artifacts. The opening reception will debut a recorded album of country and folk covers performed by Sundblad and Granat.

Granat and Sundblad’s collaborative films have been screened at Kunsthalle Zurich, Switzerland; CCS, Paris, France; Galerie Christian Nagel, Cologne, Germany; White Columns, New York.

Emily Sundblad is an artist, performer and gallerist based in New York. Emily is a co-founder of Reena Spaulings Fine Art and co-creator of the fictional artist Reena Spaulings. Her work has been included in numerous group shows including: ‘The Perfect Man Show’, curated by Rita Ackermann, White Columns, New York; ‘How to Cook a Wolf’, Kunsthalle, Zurich; ‘Beneath the Underdog’, Gagosian Gallery, New York (2007); and The Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum, New York (2006). Recent Performances include Montevideo with Rita Ackermann and Askar Brickmann, Karlsruhe, Germany (2007); Tvillingarna at Mandrake, Los Angeles; Pasaguero, Mexico City; and ‘I Love Nobody’, at The Vizcaya, Miami, FL (2007).

Amy Granat lives and works in New York. She is an artist and co-founder of Cinema Zero. Working primarily with sound, photography and film, her work has been exhibited widely in the US and Europe, including Dublin Project Arts Center, Dublin, Ireland (2007); Le Confort Modern, Poitiers, France (2007); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2007); Luhring Augustine Gallery, New York (2007); Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati (2006/7); and PS1, New York (2006); The Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum, New York (2008). And solo projects in Beijing, China; and Frankfurt, Germany. She curated an exhibition entitled ‘Catawampus’ with Matt Keegan for Shane Campbell Gallery, Chicago, (2007).
