Kader Attia (born 1970, Dugny / Seine-Saint-Denis, France) is an installation artist, photographer and curator, based in Paris, Berlin and Algiers. He took part in Manifesta 12, Palermo (2018), the Sharjah Biennial (2017), the 57th Venice Biennale (2017) and documenta 13, Kassel (2012). In 2022 he curated the 12th Berlin Biennale.
Kader Attia was awarded the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2016, followed by the Prize of the Miró Foundation, Barcelona, and the Yanghyun Art Prize, Seoul, in 2017.
He studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré, Paris; at the Escola de Artes Applicades La Massana, Barcelona; and at the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs Paris.
