The Gutai Group (Gutai Bijutsu Kyokai "Concrete Art Association", 1954-1972) was a radical artistic movement in Japan. Founded by Jiro Yoshihara and Shozo Shimamoto, they developed social and political multimedia environments, performances, and theatrical events.
