Carmen Herrera (born 1915 in Habana/Cuba; died in New York in 2022 at the age of 106) was a painter, who created uncompromising geometric abstractions. She had studied Architecture at the Universidad de La Habana and Art at the Art Students League, New York. Her works were shown in exhibitions at Museo del Barrio, New York, 1998; Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, 2009; Museum Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern, 2010; Sheldon Museum of Art, Nebraska, 2012; Phoenix Museum of Art, Arizona, 2013; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, 2017; and Kunstsammlung NRW, Düsseldorf, 2017, amongst others.
