In der Eröffnungswoche der Berlin Biennale wird Michael Müller am Freitagabend, den 30. Mai seine Ausstellung "Was nennt sich Kunst, was heißt uns wahrsein?" eröffnen, mit der er seinen im letzten Jahr begonnenen 18-teiligen Ausstellungszyklus forsetzt - eine Suche nach dem, was wir Kunst nennen, und dem, was uns Wahrheit bedeutet: "Künstler sein: Was heißt das? Zunächst: Man erlernt die Kunst. Man "übt". Kann man die Kunst denn praktizieren? Gibt es eine Praxis der Kunst wie eine Praxis für Allgemeinmedizin? Kunst und Können. Der Leistungsgedanke des Bürgertums, ein Ausweg, ein Versprechen und Verbrechen. Der griechische Athlet."

Eröffnung: Freitag, 30. Mai, 19-21 Uhr

press release:

In continuation of his 18-pieced exhibition cycle, which started last year, Michael Müller joins us again with his latest show "Was nennt sich Kunst, was heißt uns wahrsein?". In line with the opening of this year's Berlin Biennale, Müller's work seeks to discover that which we call art and what truth means to us. "What does it mean to be an artist? To begin, one acquires artistry. One "practices". But can art really be practiced? Does a practice of the art exist in the same way the practice of medicine exists? Art and ability: the bourgeois meritocracy - a loophole, a promise and misdoing. The Greek athlete."

Opening: Friday, May 30, 7-9 pm
